| Obverse description | Brown letterpress note with an ornate Art Nouveau border of interlaced scrollwork enclosing a central vignette of the St. Pölten Rathaus (Town Hall) with its distinctive clock tower, flanked by a tall decorated column, and inscribed 'anno 1790' below the architectural scene. Denomination numeral '20' appears in circular cartouches at upper left and upper right within the border. The issuer inscription 'Stadtgemeinde St. Pölten' and denomination 'über 20 Heller' are set in Gothic blackletter type in the lower panel, with the title 'Kassenschein der' at the top. |
