The central vignette, set within an octagonal geometric border, shows the ruins of a medieval castle or fortification. Two diamond-shaped '20' medallions flank the lower portion, above the large red denomination inscription 'Zwanzig Heller'; the anti-counterfeiting warning 'NACHAHMUNG WIRD BESTRAFT' is printed along the border of the central vignette.
