Obverse description Printed in brown on pale rose paper, the face is enclosed within a decorative geometric border and carries the denomination and issuer inscriptions in Gothic blackletter script across the upper portion, with a small cartouche vignette of Rabenstein castle dated 1673 at upper right. The central vignette presents a landscape view of the Rabenstein locality, with castle ruins at left and a village church with steeple at centre-right set against a hilly background. The year 1920 appears at lower left, below which three facsimile manuscript signatures of municipal officials are printed.
Obverse lettering Gutschein über 20 Heller. Gemeinde Rabenstein, N.-Ö.
Reverse description The reverse is printed in brown entirely in letterpress-set Gothic blackletter script, arranged in justified paragraph blocks. The notation '1. Ausgabe!' (First Issue) appears at upper right, while the body text sets out the purpose and legal redemption terms of the emergency currency issue. The printer's imprint 'Sommer, St. Pölten' is rendered in small capitals at the foot of the note.
