| Obverse description | Printed in red on grey-green paper, the obverse is typeset in a text-only format within a dotted outer border and a plain rectangular inner frame. The denomination numeral '20' appears in large Fraktur type flanking the central text block on both left and right, each surmounted by the word 'Heller'. The central panel carries the issuing authority legend 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Pennewang über Zwanzig Heller' in bold Gothic script, followed by a justification clause in smaller Fraktur text stating the municipal committee resolution of 23 May 1920 authorizing vouchers up to 100,000 Kronen, redeemable at the municipal treasury between 1 and 31 December. The date 'Pennewang, 23. Mai 1920' appears at lower left, with the facsimile signature and title 'Josef Humer, Bürgermeister' at lower right. |
