| Obverse description | Printed in green on grey paper, the obverse is divided into three vertical panels: the left and right panels each bear the denomination '20 HELLER' in bold letterpress numerals, with 'Gemeinde' at upper left and 'Ottnang' at upper right. The central vignette within a decorative border shows two clasped hands beneath crossed hammer and pickaxe tools, framed by a laurel wreath — a labour solidarity motif typical of Austrian Notgeld of the period. Below the panels, a text block carries the redemption guarantee, the issue date of 3 January 1920, the mayor's name, and an anti-counterfeiting warning. |
