Obverse description Notgeld voucher printed in black on a salmon-orange underprint with a wood-grain guilloche border. Upper portion carries a banner vignette inscribed 'Privileg. Markt-Neuhofen a/Ybbs N.-Ö.' flanked by a flag or pennant motif, with a crowned female bust at left bearing the date '1714' and initials 'A. R.' Central text in Gothic blackletter reads 'Gutschein über Zwanzig Heller' with the numeral '20' at right, accompanied by a drawn sword and a wrapped parcel or scroll. Lower section contains a four-line German legal text stating the market's authority to issue Notgeld by resolution of 7 April 1920 for 10, 20 and 50 Heller, with two manuscript signatures on a ribbon cartouche above the titles 'Zahlmeister' and 'Marktrichter'.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a large circular wax-seal vignette of Emperor Charles VI (Carolus VI), rendered in fine letterpress with a Habsburg imperial double-eagle coat of arms at centre surrounded by the Latin titulature legend around the seal rim. The seal is flanked on the left by a ribbon cartouche inscribed '17. Feber 1713' and on the right by 'Neuhofen a/Ybbs', with a banner below reading 'Erneuerung u. Bestätigung der Erb-Markts-Freyung'. A lower cartouche framed by a tasselled rope border contains an excerpt in German from the imperial charter confirming the market rights of Neuhofen, dated Vienna, 17 February 1713. Denomination numerals '20' appear on scroll vignettes at upper left and upper right.
