| Obverse description | The obverse of this Austrian Notgeld note is printed in brown on a salmon-toned paper stock with a fine guilloche underprint. To the left, a rectangular vignette presents a letterpress landscape illustration of a rocky woodland gorge with towering cliffs and trees characteristic of the Wienerwald region. To the right, the issuing authority and denomination are set out in bold Gothic typography, with the numeral '20' repeated in flanking positions alongside the legend 'ZWANZIG HELLER'. Below the denomination, a redemption clause in German script names the three signatories — Karner, Mayer, and Fürst — identified by their municipal titles, followed by a counterfeiting warning and the notice 'ZWEITE AUFLAGE' (second issue) along the lower margin. |
