| Obverse description | Printed in blue on white paper, the central vignette presents a panoramic aerial view of an industrial Alpine valley landscape in which the Phönix-Stahlwerk (Phoenix Steelworks) is identified by an oval cartouche at lower right, with smokestacks rising amid forested hillsides and cultivated fields. The denomination '20 Heller' is rendered in large stylised numerals within ruled rectangular panels at upper left and upper right, each flanked below by the municipal coat of arms of Mürzzuschlag — a shield bearing a castle motif. A decorative horizontal band with repeating ornamental elements runs along the lower margin, with the printer's imprint 'A.J.
