The issuer's name 'MARKTGEMEINDE · MAUTHAUSEN' is inscribed in bold block letters within a decorative banner along the lower margin; the notation '4. The left half contains a vignette of the historic Prangersäule (pillory column) of Mauthausen, a tall ornate stone column with an obelisk-shaped top set in an open landscape with trees and a cloudy sky rendered in hatched line work, captioned 'PRANGERSÄULE' below. The right half carries the redemption text in italic script, flanked above and below by rows of decorative chain ornaments, followed by the printed facsimile signatures of the Bürgermeister, Vizebürgermeister, and Gemeinderat. |
