A central rectangular vignette presents a line-engraved view of the local church and surrounding buildings amid bare winter trees, flanked on both sides by stylised flame-like ornamental scrollwork. Below the vignette, the denomination numeral '20' and the inscription HELLER are set within the same bordered panel. Three facsimile manuscript signatures appear at the foot, accompanied by their official titles in letterpress: VICEBGM, BGM, and GESCH.G.R. |

At the top, a four-line German verse in italicised script reads: 'Wer immer auf den Jauerling gestiegen oder fuhr, / Pries stets die herrliche Natur. / Allein, ob unten oder oben, / Sollst doch nur Gott, den Schöpfer, loben.' Below, the series designation '1. Serie.' precedes the bold central legend Jauerlinger Notgeld, followed by the issuer and denomination lines in smaller type. Validity and redemption instructions are given at the foot, specifying personal presentation at the Gemeindekasse between 16 and 31 December 1920. A faint pink underprint watermark-style design is visible in the background. |
