Obverse description Notgeld issued in dark red on a pale green guilloche ground, framed within a decorative scroll-work border with rolled corners. Two oval vignettes are set side by side at centre: the left depicts the Palmühle (mill building), the right shows the Kapelle in Kreuth (wayside chapel with a Gothic arch), with the denomination numeral '20' printed in bold between them. The issuer name 'Gemeinde Manning' and denomination 'Heller' appear in ornate Gothic script within and below the vignettes.

Reverse description Plain cream paper printed entirely in black letterpress. The issuer heading 'Die Gemeinde Manning' appears in large bold type at the top, followed by a centred text block stating the legal basis of issue — a municipal council resolution of 22 May 1920 — and a pledge of redemption backed by the full assets of the municipality, with validity period to be announced publicly. Three small decorative squares separate the text from the signature lines at the foot.
