Obverse description Left half occupied by two letterpress vignettes: an upper oval medallion with a view of the Galgenmäuer ruins at Dinglberg, flanked by the denomination numeral 20 on each side, and a larger rectangular scene below showing Schloss Kreisbach as it appeared in 1650, with the caption 'SCHLOSS KREISBACH IM JAHRE 1650.' Right half carries the issuing text in Fraktur script, the denomination in words 'Zwanzig Heller', a redemption clause, the date 'Kreisbach, im Mai 1920', and three manuscript signatures for the Bürgermeister, Vizebürgermeister, and Finanzreferent.

Reverse description Plain paper reverse with a central heraldic vignette of two combined coats of arms surmounted by a crested helmet, identified by flanking inscriptions as the arms of the Wappen der Chreusspache dated 1299 and 1360; the left shield bears a bird device and the right shield a crayfish. Above the vignette, the edition designation '5. Auflage' is printed in Fraktur script, indicating this is the fifth issue.
