| 备注 |
Korneuburg is a small market town on the Danube north of Vienna, and its Heller notgeld issues belong to the vast wave of Austrian municipal emergency currency that flooded the country after 1918 as small coinage disappeared from circulation entirely. The 20 Heller denomination sat at the practical lower end of everyday transaction values — change for bread, tram fare, minor market purchases — and these notes were printed and redeemed locally with no wider monetary authority backing them.
The printed date of 30 April 1945 warrants scrutiny. That date is the day Hitler died in Berlin and, for Austria, effectively the final hours before Soviet forces completed their occupation of the region. A 1920 notgeld note carrying a 1945 stamp almost certainly reflects a later archival or revalidation marking rather than original issue — the Heller itself had been worthless for over two decades by then.
