| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark brown ink on cream paper within a decorative ruled border. The municipality name 'Gemeinde Klaus' is set in Gothic blackletter script across the upper portion, flanked by ornamental scrollwork. To the left, the denomination '20 Heller' appears in large calligraphic numerals and Gothic lettering, while the central vignette presents a detailed landscape view of the Steyr River valley with the fortified town of Klaus and its castle perched on rocky terrain, captioned 'Steyr Flues' and 'Vestung Claus Ob.Öst 1674'; the printer's credit 'Paul Gerin, Wien II.' and the designer's name 'Anton Peschke' appear in the lower margin. |
