| Obverse description | Blue and white Notgeld note with a central cartouche enclosed by bold Art Nouveau scrollwork vignettes; the denomination numeral '20' appears in each corner within stylised foliate panels. The text within the cartouche is set in a combination of Gothic script and Roman capitals, stating the issuing authority and redemption conditions, with the bold word 'NOTGELD' as the central inscription. Two facsimile signatures of municipal officials appear at the foot of the cartouche, above the printed artist credit 'Curt Sauer fecit.' in the lower left margin. |
