| 正面描述 | Notgeld voucher printed in dark ink on pale paper with a scalloped outer border and double-ruled frame. The heading in Gothic script reads 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Hinzenbach.' across the top, flanked on each side by large denomination numeral '20' set within ornate cartouches formed by intertwined rope-style guilloche bands, each labelled 'Heller'. A central vignette portrays a bust portrait of a male figure within an elaborate scrollwork surround, below which a banner carries the motto 'zusammhalten müassa ma'. At the foot, a guarantee text and a small rural landscape vignette are flanked by the issuing authority statement, with a manuscript signature of the Bürgermeister at lower right. |

Hinzenbach is a small parish settlement folded into the municipality of Eferdinger Becken today, but in 1920 it was issuing its own emergency currency alongside hundreds of other Austrian communes scrambling to fill the coin vacuum left by wartime metal requisitions and postwar monetary disintegration. These Notgeld issues were a local solution to a genuinely local problem — small transactions simply could not function without low-denomination circulating pieces.
Lanz of Eferding was a regional printer serving multiple nearby communes during the same period, which occasionally creates attribution confusion between issues of similar design and typeface. The JPR0378 series distinguishes two varieties; the "IIa" suffix here signals a specific paper or print state differentiation documented by Jaksc.
