| 备注 |
Austrian municipal notgeld from the post-WWI economic collapse, when coin shortages forced hundreds of small communities to print their own fractional currency. Hinterbrühl was a village of no particular financial weight — a summer resort town south of Vienna, better known for the Seegrotte caves and a passing connection to Schubert. That a local printer in nearby Mödling, Wehhofer, was producing these for the municipality tells you how hyperlocal this emergency coinage became: the supply chain for small change had broken down entirely at the community level.
