背面描述 The reverse centres on a panoramic arched vignette of the town of Hallein rendered in fine linear illustration, with the Salzach valley, church spires, and forested hills in the background. A ribbon banner above reads 'ZUM DEUTSCHEN REICH', with directional labels 'NACH INNSPRUGG' and 'NACH SALZBURG' on flanking scroll panels. Large numerals '20' appear at lower left and right flanking the issuer inscription 'STADT-GEMEINDE HALLEIN', with the printer's mark 'O. FELGEL & FARNHOLZ' at the base and Bavarian dialect verse along all four margins.

备注

Hallein's 1920 Heller notes belong to Austria's vast Notgeld phenomenon — the municipal emergency currency explosion that followed the collapse of the Habsburg economy. With the central banking system in disarray and small coinage effectively vanished from circulation, thousands of Austrian towns and villages printed their own fractional paper. Hallein, a salt-mining town on the Salzach south of Salzburg, was one of hundreds that turned to local printers rather than wait for Vienna to solve the coin shortage.

R. Kiesel in Salzburg handled this run. The JPR0344 series covers multiple denominations; the 20 Heller is the mid-value piece within it.
