| Obverse description | Printed in dark rose-red letterpress on plain paper, the note is divided into two vertical panels: the left carries an ornate Art Nouveau cartouche enclosing a vignette of a winged angel holding a sword and scales, flanked by the numeral '20' in each upper corner, while the right panel bears the issuing authority text in Gothic Fraktur script. At the foot, a facsimile signature of Bürgermeister Josef Nagelstrasser appears above the printer's imprint of Edmund Huber. |

| Reverse description | Printed in the same rose-red tone as the obverse, the reverse is dominated by an engraved townscape vignette of Alt-Haag, with the parish church tower rising at left and a broad municipal building at centre, figures rendered in the square below, the whole surmounted by a ribbon cartouche inscribed 'Alt-Haag'. A narrow right-hand panel carries the validity notice in Gothic script above the large ornamental numeral '20' set within a decorative frame. |
