Entwurf: Hans Kozak

背面描述 The reverse is printed in dark brown on buff paper with a geometric border of repeating diamond-pattern ornaments framing the entire note. The upper portion carries the heading 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Dorf Haag' in large blackletter, with 'Bezirk Amstetten – Nied.-Österr.' below. A boxed numeral '20' at left is paired with the written denomination 'Zwanzig Heller' and the validity clause 'Giltig bis 30. Dez. 1920'. At lower left, a text block states the municipality's guarantee and anti-counterfeiting warning, accompanied by three facsimile signatures. To the right, a vignette illustrates the Josef Datzberger Gasthaus with trees and the label 'Orts-Vorstand'.

备注

Dorf Haag is a small market town in Lower Austria, and this 20 Heller note is a product of the Notgeld wave that swept Austrian municipalities during and after the First World War, when coin shortages made small-denomination paper an operational necessity rather than a collector's novelty. F. Kielar was a regional printer based in Amstetten — a workmanlike local choice, not a prestige commission.

Hans Kozak's design credit is unusual for a note of this humble scale and geography. Whether Kozak was a local artist or brought in from outside Amstetten is not reliably documented.
