Gutenbrunn is a small market town in the Waldviertel region of Lower Austria, and this 20 Heller notgeld dates from the tail end of Austria's municipal emergency money period — by 1921, most larger towns had already wound down their local currency programs, making late-issue pieces from smaller communities like this comparatively scarce relative to the more aggressively distributed collector series of 1920.
The Jaksch/Pick reference JPR0315-20 places it firmly in the documented Austrian notgeld corpus, though Gutenbrunn's issues attracted little contemporary collector attention and were almost certainly printed in very limited quantities for purely local transactional use.
