The upper register bears the denomination numeral '20' in ornate circular vignettes at each corner, with the central panel carrying the Gothic-script heading 'Gutscheine der Kurortsgemeinде Bad Ischl' above the validity date 'Gültig bis 30. September 1920.' A broad decorative band in the centre carries the denomination legend 'Zwanzig Heller' in bold blackletter typeface. The lower register contains a letterpress text panel stating the municipality's legal guarantee of redemption in lawful currency between 15 and 30 September 1920, beneath which three facsimile signatures appear with their respective titles. |

The lower portion presents a central vignette of a large neoclassical building — identifiable as the Bad Ischl Kurhaus — flanked by ornamental scroll cartouches, with the denomination numeral '20' printed in large bold type in the lower left and right corners. |
