| Opmerkingen |
Anif is a small village just south of Salzburg, and like hundreds of Austrian municipalities in 1920, it issued its own Notgeld to address the chronic small-change shortage that persisted well after the armistice. This is the second issue ("2. Auflage"), meaning demand — or wear — exhausted the first print run. For a village of Anif's size, that detail alone suggests heavier local circulation than one might expect.
Printed by E. v. W. Müller in Salzburg, with engraving credited to Hütter. The Müller firm handled numerous regional Notgeld commissions across the Salzburg area during this period.
