| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark olive-green and red on a pale green ground. At the top, the denomination title is rendered in ornate red Gothic script, flanked by decorative red stippled corner panels with foliate motifs; the municipal coat of arms of Amstetten, bearing a crown, is centered above a large landscape vignette. The central vignette depicts a panoramic view of Amstetten with a prominent church and surrounding townscape amid trees, executed in fine letterpress line engraving. The numeral '20' appears in dark oval cartouches at lower left and right, and the validity date 'Gültig bis 31. Dezember 1920' is inscribed below the vignette; designer signatures 'C.
