| Beschrijving voorzijde | Printed in violet on cream paper, the obverse presents a central vignette of a medieval castle ruin set in a landscape, flanked on the left by a pennant-bearing standard and on the right by an armoured figure holding a spear. A decorative ribbon banner across the upper portion carries the inscription identifying the issuing municipality. The denomination '20' appears in oval cartouches at lower left and lower right, with the value in words along the lower register. The printer's imprint 'L. Haase, Linz' appears at lower right. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed in violet on cream paper, the reverse is framed by a decorative border of repeating rosette ornaments. The central text panel sets out the legal authorization text in German gothic script, stating that the Gemeinde Altenberg issues vouchers up to a total of 30,000 Kronen by council resolution of 15 May 1920, redeemable in legal tender at the municipal treasury. The date 'Altenberg, am 15. Mai 1920' and the facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister appear in the middle register, above an anti-counterfeiting notice. The denomination panel 'Zwanzig Heller' with numeral '20' at each side occupies the lower portion. |
