| Obverse description | Printed on yellow-green paper, the note is divided into three vertical panels by an ornate border of oak-leaf scrollwork. The central panel bears the issuing authority's title in Gothic script at top, with the denomination 'Zwanzig Heller' in large display lettering below, followed by the Bürgermeister's printed signature line. At centre is a circular vignette of a bearded male portrait, flanked by crossed halberds or lances rendered in fine line engraving, with the caption 'Es muß seyn!' and the name 'Stöffl Gadinger' beneath. Numeral '20' roundels appear in the upper corners of the flanking side panels, with 'Heller' in rectangular cartouches below each, the left panel carrying the anti-counterfeiting notice and the right panel the validity date. |
