Obverse description Light grey Notgeld note printed in dark grey and red. A central rectangular vignette shows a draught horse standing beside a figure in a rural farmyard setting with a barn and trees in the background. The denomination numeral '20' appears in red within a circular cartouche at top centre, flanked by the word 'heller' in Gothic script on a ribbon banner; stylised pine branch underprint fills the lateral margins. The lower portion carries the issuer's name in red Gothic lettering, with denomination repeated in small corner panels at lower left and right.

Reverse description Plain off-white reverse printed entirely in black with no pictorial vignette. The upper section presents the issuer's title in a bordered panel with denomination numerals '20 Heller' in corner boxes flanking the central heading. Below, a two-line motto in Roman type is followed by a block of Gothic text setting out the redemption obligation of the Gemeinde Aigen (Ober-Steiermark) pursuant to the municipal council resolution of 17 July 1920, undertaking to redeem the note in lawful currency within four weeks of notice. The Bürgermeister's manuscript signature appears at the foot.
