| Obverse description | Printed in dark green on light green paper, the obverse is enclosed within a decorative floral border. The upper portion carries the title 'Kassenschein' in Gothic script, flanked by the denomination numeral '20' in ornate cartouches at upper left and lower corners. A central oval vignette presents a letterpress view of a ruined arched tower gateway surrounded by trees, with text panels to the left and right containing the redemption and legal obligation clauses. Three manuscript signatures appear below the central vignette, with the designation 'Bürgermeister' indicated beneath the central signature. The lower legend reads 'Zwanzig Heller' in stylised script. |

The vignette illustrates the Julienturm, a medieval stone tower set on a hillside with a figure in the foreground and coniferous trees, captioned 'JULIENTURM' at the upper edge of the frame. The left text block states the conditions of redemption by the Gemeinde Hinterbrühl until 31 July 1920 and the legal penalties for counterfeiting, concluding with the date 25.
