The denomination '20 HELLER Notgeld' appears across the top alongside the large ornate calligraphic legend 'GAFLENZ' and the sub-heading 'DER MARKTGEMEINDE'. A redemption clause in German Gothic script states the note is redeemable in legal tender from 1 to 30 November 1920 per resolution of the municipal committee of 17 April 1920, with an anti-counterfeiting warning at lower left and the Bürgermeister's manuscript signature at lower right. |
