Obverse description The heraldic Czechoslovak state arms occupy the central field, depicting the double-tailed Czech lion rampant bearing on its chest an inescutcheon charged with the Slovak double cross on three hills. The circular legend REPUBLIKA ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ runs around the periphery, divided by two small linden-leaf ornaments, with the mint year appearing in the lower portion of the field beneath the shield.
