| Opmerkingen |
Switzerland's sixth banknote series, of which this is a part, was developed over roughly two decades before entering circulation in the 1990s — an unusually protracted production schedule driven by the SNB's exceptionally demanding security specifications. Zintzmeyer, a Basel-trained graphic artist, designed the complete series with a consistent visual language across all denominations, an approach that was itself a departure from the piecemeal commissioning practices of earlier Swiss series.
Orell Füssli in Zürich has printed Swiss banknotes for well over a century, making it one of the few national printers with an unbroken relationship with a single central bank at that scale.
