| 裏面の説明 | Central device featuring the Albanian Royal Coat of Arms: a shield bearing the double-headed eagle, surmounted by a royal helmet and flanked by scrolled mantling. Below the shield, the denomination 'FR · 20' is inscribed, with the word 'PROVA' (trial/pattern) appearing in small letters in the field to the right of the shield. The circular legend around the periphery reads 'MARTESA · E · MBRETIT · EVENIMENT · KOMBETAR' (Marriage of the King — National Event), with the commemorative date '27 · IV · 1938' at the base, marking the royal wedding of April 27, 1938. |

Zog I married Geraldine Apponyi, a Hungarian-American countess, in April 1938 — an event the Albanian government marked with an ambitious commemorative program that included several prova (pattern) issues never released for general circulation. The marriage itself was politically calculated, with Mussolini funding much of the wedding ceremony as Italian influence over Albania reached its peak, just a year before the full annexation in 1939.
As a prova, this piece was produced in extremely limited numbers for official approval and archival purposes. Pagani 800 confirms its pattern status.
