| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Zog I in right-facing profile, with finely rendered hair and a strong, naturalistic portrait in high relief. The circular legend reads 'ZOG · I · MBRETI · I · SHQIPTAREVET' around the upper periphery, translating as 'Zog I, King of the Albanians.' The date '1938' appears in the lower exergual area, flanked by small decorative stops, with the Rome Mint mark 'R' to the right of the date. The portrait is executed in the classical medallic tradition characteristic of engraver Giuseppe Romagnoli. |
