Additional information

The Schilthorn summit in the Bernese Oberland achieved unlikely global fame when it served as the villain's lair in the 1969 Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service — the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant was still under construction when filming began, with the production partially funding its completion. Swissmint has issued a recurring series of landscape-themed commemoratives tied to Swiss Alpine sites, and the Schilthorn fits squarely into that program.

KM#209 places this among the modern Swiss commemorative sequence rather than the circulating series.
