Reverse description The lozengy shield of the House of Grimaldi, charged with fusils in a diagonal pattern of argent and gules, occupies the central field and is surmounted by a large princely crown with fleurons and arched elements. The denomination 20 FRS flanks the shield to left and right in bold numerals and letters, while the word ESSAI appears in small letters at the lower right of the shield. The Monégasque motto DEO JUVANTE is inscribed along the lower arc of the coin within a beaded inner border.
