| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair swept back in parallel waves. The portrait is youthful and formal in character, consistent with the early years of his reign. The engraver's signature P. TURIN appears in small lettering below the bust, and the date 1950 is inscribed in the lower exergue. The circular legend RAINIER III PRINCE DE MONACO runs along the beaded inner border of the field. |
