| Obverse description | Bare-headed portrait bust of Rainier III facing left, rendered in high relief within a beaded inner circle. The engraver's signature 'P. TURIN' appears in small letters at the truncation, with the date 1950 below in the exergue. The circular legend reading 'RAINIER III PRINCE DE MONACO' runs along the outer rim, separated from the portrait by the beaded border. The effigy is modelled in a naturalistic, academic style characteristic of Pierre Turin's work for the Monnaie de Paris. |
