The patriotic motto 'LIBERTÉ·ÉGALITÉ·FRATERNITÉ' encircles the design as the outer legend. Mint marks in the exergue area identify the Paris Mint (cornucopia), the engraver-general Pierre Rodier (bee), and the workshop responsible for striking coins and medals (AGMM monogram). |
