Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Napoleon I facing left, rendered in the neoclassical style engraved by Jean-Pierre Droz, whose engraver's mark appears below the truncation. The emperor's hair is depicted in short, natural curls consistent with the 'tête nue' type. The circumferential legend reads NAPOLEON EMPEREUR, distributed evenly around the portrait with a raised border of fine denticles framing the entire field.
