Beschrijving voorzijde Central field features the six-pointed Star of Solomon (Seal of Solomon), rendered in high relief with elaborate interlaced geometric and floral arabesques filling the interstitial spaces. The Hijri date ١٣٦٦ (1366) appears within an oval cartouche at the centre of the star. The upper legend reads EMPIRE CHERIFIEN in Latin characters along the outer rim, while the Arabic legend الإمبراطورية الشريفة is inscribed in flowing Maghrebi script around the lower periphery, separated from the central motif by a raised inner border. The entire design is framed by a rich band of stylised arabesque ornament in the Moroccan tradition.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central field displays the denomination 20 FRANCS in bold upright numerals and capitals, enclosed within a large rotated square (lozenge) frame set against a finely detailed arabesque background within a raised inner circle. The word ESSAI appears in smaller letters immediately below FRANCS, accompanied by the Monnaie de Paris mint marks (cornucopia and wing). The country name MAROC arcs along the upper rim in Latin letters, while the Arabic المغرب is inscribed in Maghrebi script along the lower portion of the outer border, flanked by decorative star motifs. The entire composition is surrounded by an intricately worked band of floral and geometric arabesques consistent with Moroccan decorative art.
