| Reverse description | Central field displays the denomination 20 FRANCS in bold upright numerals and capitals, enclosed within a large rotated square (lozenge) frame set against a finely detailed arabesque background within a raised inner circle. The word ESSAI appears in smaller letters immediately below FRANCS, accompanied by the Monnaie de Paris mint marks (cornucopia and wing). The country name MAROC arcs along the upper rim in Latin letters, while the Arabic المغرب is inscribed in Maghrebi script along the lower portion of the outer border, flanked by decorative star motifs. The entire composition is surrounded by an intricately worked band of floral and geometric arabesques consistent with Moroccan decorative art. |
