| Obverse description | Central field features the Seal of Solomon (five-pointed star, khatim Suleiman), the traditional emblem of the Sharifian dynasty, rendered in bold relief against a plain field. Decorative floral and foliate ornaments in the Moroccan arabesque style are arranged symmetrically around the central star. The Arabic circular legend 'السكة المحمدية الشريفة' (The Noble Mohammadan Mint) runs along the upper periphery, while the Hijri date 'عام ١٣٧١' (year 1371) appears in Arabic script below the star, with the numeral 1371 rendered in Western Arabic-Indic digits at the very base. The entire design is framed by a distinctive milled inner border of repeated teeth. |

| Reverse description | The denomination '20 FRANCS' is prominently displayed in large numerals and Latin capitals at the centre of the field, with the Arabic equivalent 'فرنكا' (franka) inscribed above in stylised calligraphy.
