| Reverse description | The reverse depicts two Mamenchisaurus dinosaurs in a naturalistic prehistoric landscape. One sauropod is shown with its elongated neck lowered to drink from a body of water in the foreground, while the second stands upright behind it. A mountain range forms the background horizon, and a large pterosaur is depicted in flight overhead. The legend PREHISTORIC LIFE MAMENCHISAURUS and the date range 160-145 MIO YEARS BC appear prominently, accompanied by a geological timescale referencing the Triassic (250-200 MIO. YEARS BC), Jurassic (200-145 MIO. YEARS BC), and Cretaceous (145-66 MIO. YEARS BC) periods, with the year 2020 also inscribed. |

| Additional information |
The Mamenchisaurus is a sauropod genus known almost entirely from Chinese fossil sites, with some specimens preserving necks that account for more than half the animal's total body length — among the longest cervical proportions of any known vertebrate. The Democratic Republic of the Congo has issued a sustained run of natural history-themed silver pieces under its numismatic program, which operates essentially as a revenue-generating export product; circulation within the DRC itself is negligible.
