Obverse description Bare-headed left-facing effigy of Prince Jean of Luxembourg in high relief, rendered in a clean, modern portrait style. To the left of the bust, a small heraldic shield bearing fleurs-de-lis; to the right, a second heraldic device. The engraver's initials A.H. appear in the lower field near the shoulder. The denomination 20 F. is inscribed along the lower rim beneath the portrait. The circular legend PRENZ JEAN VU LETZEBURG runs around the periphery, with the word ESSAI appearing in the right field.
