| Obverse description | Printed entirely in red on cream paper, the note is framed by a decorative border of holly leaves and branches, with a scalloped outer edge. Circular medallions occupy each corner, with the denomination numeral '20f' in the upper-right and lower-left, and alerions (heraldic eaglets, symbols of the Lorraine region) in the upper-left and lower-right. The central field carries the issuing authority titles above a bold rectangular cartouche with the value legend, beneath which three facsimile signatures appear with their respective official titles and the series and number designation at the foot. |
