Obverse description	The right portion of the note is occupied by a finely engraved intaglio vignette of a crocodile on a riverbank, rendered against a background of reeds, palm trees, and distant hills. To the left, a guilloche shield cartouche bears the denomination inscription "VINGT FRANCS / PAYABLES A VUE", flanked by the numeral 20 in ornate corner medallions. Two signature lines appear below the central vignette, with title legends "UN ADMINISTRATEUR" and "LE PRÉSIDENT", and the date is printed at lower right.

Reverse description	The reverse is entirely composed of elaborate guilloche lacework in green, with a large central rosette pattern formed by interlocking engine-turned bands radiating outward to four lobed corner ornaments. The numeral "20" is set at the centre of the guilloche composition, and the denomination "VINGT FRANCS" is printed in bold letterpress below. The bank name appears in a straight legend at the top, and the printer's imprint is at the foot.
