Reverse description Full-length allegorical figure of Victory (Nike) striding forward, her robes billowing dramatically around her, extending a laurel wreath in her raised right hand and holding a palm frond in her left. Radiating lines emanate from the ground beneath her feet, evoking triumph and light. The denomination 20 Fr is split across the lower left and right fields flanking the figure. The engraver's name CATTANUEE is inscribed in the lower exergue. The design is framed by a beaded border.

Additional information

A modern restrike of the Swiss 20 Francs Vreneli type, here rendered in silver with gold plating rather than the original 0.900 gold alloy. The Vreneli series ran from 1897 to 1949, with the Swiss federal mint producing official restrikes of certain dates well into the late 20th century — a practice that muddied the waters for date collectors considerably. This 2026 piece sits outside that official restrike tradition entirely.
