Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of King Faisal I facing left, engraved in high relief with fine portrait detail by Percy Metcalfe. The king's name and title appear in Arabic script arranged in two curved legends flanking the portrait: to the right reading 'فيصل الأول' and to the left 'ملك العراق'. The field is smooth and unadorned, with the portrait positioned centrally within the coin's circular border.

Reverse description Central design features the denomination '٢٠ فلس' (20 Fils) inscribed within a raised circular cartouche, surrounded by a radiating sunburst pattern of lines that divide the field into decorative segments. The Arabic legend 'المملكة العراقية' (Kingdom of Iraq) is distributed in ornate calligraphic script across the lower portion of the field. The Hijri date '١٣٥٢' appears to the right and the Christian date '١٩٣٣' to the left, flanking the central cartouche. The overall design reflects a formal heraldic layout characteristic of British-influenced coinage produced at the Royal Mint.
