| Obverse description | Central field bears four large Chinese ideograms arranged in a cruciform reading top-to-bottom, right-to-left, flanked by Manchu script characters at centre. The entire arrangement is encircled by an outer ring of additional Chinese ideograms denoting the provincial authority, reign title, and denomination weight standard. A beaded inner border frames the central inscription, and a reeded outer rim encloses the whole design. The lettering is deeply struck in a formal, official style consistent with late Qing imperial minting practice. |

| Reverse description | A sinuous five-clawed imperial dragon is depicted in high relief at centre, shown in three-quarter view with head facing forward and scales rendered in fine detail. A flaming pearl is positioned directly before the dragon's open mouth. Two symmetrically placed rosettes appear in the field, one to the left and one to the right of the dragon. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with a reeded rim at the periphery. The dragon's treatment is consistent with the Yunnan provincial dragon type characteristic of late Qing coinage. |
