| Reverse description | A finely detailed, coiled Chinese imperial dragon occupies the central field, depicted in high relief with prominent scales, clawed feet, and a fierce frontal-facing head, without a surrounding circle — the so-called 'uncircled' or 'redesigned' dragon type characteristic of this series. A flaming pearl is absent from the immediate centre, with the dragon's body filling the field dynamically. The peripheral legend reads 'KIANG NAN PROVINCE' along the upper arc and '1 MACE AND 4.4 CANDAREENS' along the lower arc in Latin characters, separated by six-pointed rosette stops. The entire design is contained within a beaded border. |
